On Thursday, Oct 26, 2017, the cremation day of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, apart from at the main royal crematorium at Sanam Luang people can lay their dok mai chan (sandalwood flowers) at the 85 replicas of the royal crematorium in Bangkok and other provinces as follows:

  • The statue of King Rama I, Phra Nakhon district

  • King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Lat Kra Bang district
  • Thupatemi Sport Stadium, Lam Luk Ka district, Pathum Thani
  • Buddha Monthon, Nakhon Pathom

Good that everyone can show their respect, without having to travel too far. Very good initiative.
The people loved their King, and now they get the chance to show that closer to home.

Seems like many district towns will have a particular ceremony.

The daughter has fortunately abandoned the idea of traveling to Bangkok (in a group) and will just be at the district town.
