malcolminthemiddle
We have an issue with white flakey bits in our new pool underneath the jets coming from the pump. We believe they are calcium flakes and a result of a chemical reaction between the pool hard water and the chlorine. Anyone else had this problem and found a solution chemical/filter/change salt? Thanks in advance.
steviewander
You're right. It seems those are calcium flakes. Looks like the ph is out of balance. I recommend you contact a swimming pool supplier too. Pool Master is quite a good pool supplies company in Thailand. You may send this photo to them so they could give you recommendations. I do think that there's a problem with the chemistry levels but best to confirm with them. Best of luck.
carlyai
I did notice something like this in my sister's pool while I was back in Australia. Her pool man said it is normal and a result of reversing and cleaning (descaling), the salt water chlorinator.Never happened with my chlorinator. So, not sure if this is true or not with some chlorinators. [emoji848]It didn't happen with her first chlorinator, only started with the new one.Sent from my SM-J700F using Tapatalk
alessiahayden66
This is very uncommon issue for me and therefore I think you should approach to swimming pool supplier who can give you better answer about this problem.
