NokScoot, Thailand’s medium-haul low cost airline, added a fourth big jet with a special Thai religious blessing ceremony at Don Muang International Airport on November 9.

“This fourth B777-200 will help us further expand our network and elevate Thailand’s aviation industry and image,” said CEO Yodchai Sudhidhanakul.

“Now that the red flag has been removed by the International Civil Aviation Organization, we will move forward with our plan to embark on services to Japan and Korea, in addition to more flights to China”, said Yodchai. New service will begin to Xian, China on December 9..

The new aircraft is named Fah Sai, or “Clear Blue Sky”.

I would rather walk than fly with these monkeys.

Its a Singapore Airlines joint venture using old SQ aircraft. How bad can it be?

Please define, "red flag".   Also, Not a new aircraft?

I suppose the monk performing the "special Thai religious blessing ceremony " is the one in the bird costume!

Look forward to some deep discounts with good comfort and service.

And like many airlines nowadays will fit 10 seats across in an aircraft designed for 9.

This will be another sardines in a can situation

Jonnapat, if an old Thai 200 will be 9. If an old Emirites will be 10

Due to a total lack of organization and oversight, CAAT which is Thailand's own civil aircraft administration, were unable to provide sufficient numbers of trained and certificated inspectors to do the ICAO mandated airline auditing. Thus the certification of several Thai carriers lapsed which led to all sorts of fun for the Thai bashers who reckon any and all Thai-registered air transport is sub-standard, fraught with risk and far more dangerous than a WWII daylight air-raid on the Ruhr.

Good luck to Nokscoot in bringing more free-spending Chinese tourists to the realm if only to further wind up the TV belly-achers that hate everything and post to let us know as much.

most airlines seem to be making the 777 a 3-4-3 arrangement. Singapore ( as do a few other quality airlines) still seem to be 3-3-3, maybe this was altered to a 3-4-3 when transferred to nokscoot
