Disgusting!  Congo and Africa. Glad all this was seized. Even if it is just a drop in the dirty waters

of this criminal business.

Geezer

Sad that poaching is still very much alive and well in Africa in the 21st century.  How many rare endangered animals died in just this one haul?  Think about all the other hauls that manage to sneak through undetected every day/month/year.  I think all of us would be absolutely shocked if we knew the total number of poaching deaths each year.

To combat this I think local police/authorities in the Congo or ??? should be held completely responsible for poaching as they are obviously aiding the poachers.  Both poachers and corrupt police/government officials should face tough new laws.  These would include long prison sentences in facilities offering the most appallingly inhumane conditions for the pawns as well as public hangings for the bosses and government officials who are involved.  The local people should never be allowed to forget the hell that awaits poachers, and anyone who helps them.  These 'reminders' should be as graphic as possible.  In such poor areas of Africa I can't think of any other effective way to stop this continuing heinous killing of endangered species.
