Please share a favourite memory in Thailand in 25 words or less.

On an overnight train upcountry, listened to a farang complaining about the service. Retribution: Next morning, she lost one flipflop down the loo.

My baby sick LA-BKK flight

Holding son diarrhea squirting into sink

He simultaneously pukes into toilet

Wife, baby, I laugh hysterically

Other passengers not amused!

When I first started coming to Thailand, the plane got in at about midnight and speeding in a cab to the hotel and then to Patpong and looking at all the foreign sights and sounds was such an amazing rush... :o:D

Being absolutely broke with my bestest friend in Samui, lying on the beach laughing heartily at our awful situation. Friends are great!

Relaxing for a few days in Vientienne, after a year in Bangkok. (It's nearly Thailand)

My first holiday in Koh Samui (15 years ago), moto'ing accross the wooden bridge to the Doors bar...

Ah, kodacky moments. :D

Fondly remember old Samui, too (not as far back as '79 tho, Mid!) Sure remember that rock'n'roll wooden bridge to Reggae Pub. Saw a few people fall into the lake (and they were heading to the club) and several wobblies as bikers clacked across. :o

Yeah, watching people fall off was mildly amusing, as long as they weren't hurt.

In the green mango they used to sell a small chang for about 40 baht, then every night an old guy would push his stand into the club selling large change for 30 baht???? Very strange, but great.

Ya, the best part was they let him do it. :o

Flying there for the first time on a 2 week package, grand tour of LOS alone on a Kawasaki 1000 and being asked politely after 7 weeks to leave and come back with a visa.

Lying on a deck chair on a beach in Cha Am, eating their famous roast pig and bbq chicken, and drinking whiskey and soda. Not that healthy but who cares! :o

First: I cannot recall at this time.

Second: Rushing over to Thailand to hospital to find wife fine after emergency appendectomy. And they let me stay with her at no extra charge, and they had room service and beer!

First, as a plump blond child being pinched for good luck by beautiful Thai girls.

Second, the smile on my G/F's father's face as 3 trucks rocked up with the materials he had ordered for him to build a family home. The most pleasure I have had from giving something away.

Third, when the local sharmen told me we were destined to be together as we had already battled it out in several previous lives.

Last, my G/F giggling as I knelt down and tried to avoid getting soaked by a crazed monk throwing holy water around whilst chanting during a ceremony and seeing a beautiful brown cow looking in at me through the window of the room, munching grass with the sunlight beaming in over it's head. At that moment I knew I would always love Isaan.
