UKpilot
I needed to have my UK passport notarised and had real problems finding reputable one in Chiang Mai. However I found http://www.thailandnotaryservice.com/ ([email protected]) based in Bangkok - who did the whole thing, 1,000 baht, using a scanning of the passport sent by email and then a Skype call to confirm physical ID. The person I dealt with, who owns the firm, is called Pawat (perfect English with a Masters degree in law from Edinburgh University) thoroughly recommended call him 063 267 4217
chingmai331
Nice advert. Such notaries not acceptable in USA.
UKpilot
When it comes to the United States nothing any longer surprises me - or surprises much of the rest of the world too I imagine. But in the United Kingdom (and I assume the rest of the EU) these Notarised documents are perfectly acceptable

I used a lawyer at the mall next to The Shine. He seemed to take his job serious and I doubt he would have notarized a passport over Skype. This was 3 years ago, so I do not know if he is still there.
