aussiestyle1983
Why do they still say "Song Pan, Ha Rawy, Sii Sip Gao" at my school. To me this is saying its still "2549?" I thought it was now 2550 like yall are saying. I thought the Thai year changes on Jan 1. Or does it change acording to the Thai new Year "Songkran" or the Buddhist new year? Maybe they are a bit slow at my school........................
kel57
According to my Thai wife, the new year 2550 comes into effect on Jan 1st. Song Kran is just the Spring Festival/Thai New Year of old.
peter991
The easiest way to tell the Thai CALENDAR year is to add 543 to the Western Calendar. So 2007 (Australia) = 2007 + 543 = 2550 (thailand). Thanks for the clarification on when the year starts, Kel57. Peter
