FM Don says no need to clarify election delay

Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said Wednesdy (Jan 30) no countries have officially asked for clarification on the election delay after the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) has deferred the implementation of the MP election bill for another 90 days which would consequently delay the general election.

 

Comment from the minister came after the US ambassador called on the NLA president to inquire about the amendment of the MP election bill on enforcement days.

 

He said as far as he has learned, the ambassador just performed his duty as an ambassador and they have reached understanding on the matter.

But then you can't believe a word that comes out of their mouths other than 'You are under arrest'.

Could that be because there has been no official confirmation of a delay, or an election date for that matter, and each statement made by any of these incompatibles has contradicted the previous one.

 

But wait and see, as the EU has made it clear some time ago that November would be their last chance to avoid sanctions, and I think the US holds the same stance.

I wouldnt hold my breath...

Thailand is not really important in the world for a comment, and the ambassadors know Thai leadership prefers they do the speaking for them. 

Right - um, let me see: the US ambassador asked for clarification, but as he was only doing his duty as an ambassador it didn't count...

OK!

 

And this fellow is the foreign minister?

1. You can't think of a reason so that's why

 

2. I read the EU have commented on the delay

 

3. How long do you think you can keep doing this until you just have to show your cards and be honest? Can you really not see in the future as far as 11 months? 

Who wants clarification when mystification works so well?

I would never believe on single word from a guy wearing a purple silk dress! Is this some kind of clever camouflage so the small people think that they are not as bad as they are or?

But then, if the government were to clarify, they would then be faced with the need to justify.

Sounds like someone's attitude was adjusted

Sure there is no need to clarify election day as it won't happen and needed: all other parties and oposition is either in prison or silenced!
