A total of six properties belonging to the "mia noi" or mistresses of a man being hunted in a 560 kilogram "ice" (crystal meth) case are being visited in the Chiang Mai area.

Images showed Region 5 cops, commandos and drugs suppression police armed with search warrants at one expensive mansion  in the Rong Or housing estate in San Phee Seua sub-district of Muang district Chiang Mai.

A large amount of evidence was taken in including jewelry, bank books, documents and cars at the 3 rai property belonging to Wilaiporn the fourth "wife" of Thanthep or "Doi", 52.

Doi - currently on the run - is believed to be behind the transportation of the ice that was discovered at a Chiang Mai bus station and was destined for the south and then another country.

Sanook reported that a three story 30 room block of flats was also visited by the authorities as well as a property belonging to the sixth wife of the fugitive in San Sai district.

Sanook said a total of 50 million baht in assets was seized with all six wives suspected of being involved in laundering drug money.
