13 hurt in van, truck collision

PATTAYA:--Thirteen people were injured when an employee-shuttle van collided with a pickup truck in Huay Yai.

The driver of the Toyota van had to be cut from the smashed vehicle on Baan Pusai-Pluak Daeng Road Feb. 23.

The other 12 people,  including the driver of the truck, were waiting for first aid when paramedics arrived. They were transported to Banglamung Hospital and Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

The shuttle was on the way to a factory in the Pluak Daeng Industrial Estate in Rayong where it crashed nearly head-on with the pickup going around a bend.

Police were waiting for the two drivers to recover before questioning them.

Thanks RC , my laugh of the day . Same same tomorrow possibly ?

The passenger vans are required to have GPS installed but these employee shuttle vans are not required to have GPS. That law needs to change. All vans that transport people should have GPS installed so they can be monitored better.

They don't need GPS !
They need speed limiters, brakes that work and most importantly drivers that drive sensibly not like a maniac who thinks he's on a F1 racing circuit !

No need for GPS better with speed limit so they can't drive over max 80
