webfact
Over 70 percent agree with next February as the right timing for election: Nida Poll By Thai PBS More than 70 percent of the respondents to an opinion poll said next February would be the right timing for an election against 20.40 percent who disagreed, according to Nida Poll of the National Institute of Development Administration. Nida Poll gauged the opinions of 1,250 respondents who are 18 years of age and above during March 1-3 about how confident they are with an election to be held in February next year. The survey shows 79.6 percent of the respondents admitted that next February would be the appropriate timing for the election against 20.40 percent who said the timing was not right. On the question of how confident they are with the February election, the poll shows 10.80 percent said they were most confident as the country would return to normalcy; 24.32 percent said they were confident as they have faith in the government’s ability to hold the election; and 23.76 percent said they had little confidence because the government appears to be not ready for the election; 15.36 percent have least confidence and 25.76 percent don’t have any confidence at all. harada
Things must be looking a bit shaky, I see that the chief sh#t stirrer has come out from under his rock, possibly with further instructions to stir the pot, and then, wait for it, election postponed too much unrest.

Srikcir
7 hours ago, webfact said: Over 70 percent agree with next February as the right timing for election That's not what the poll asked. The "right timing" wasn't addressed in the poll question. This term was an interpretation by Thai PBS. how confident they are with an election to be held in February next year - very confident it will be held after four previous failures. This has nothing to do with being the right time. It's being the only next time. The right time was back in May 2014 after the Constitutional Court invalidated the February 2014 election. PS: the military coup took place in May 2014. they were most confident as the country would return to normalcy - as I'm sure they were with each junta election announcement. Again nothing to do with "right timing." they have faith in the government’s ability to hold the election - easy to have faith in something that hasn't happened. In reality the government can't even definitively schedule an election (it's already caveated February 2019) and is allowing an unconstitutional Election Commission membership to operate the election. Again the right time was back in May 2014 when the Yingluck regime and the constitutional EC announced that date which received endorsement.
