Tailors (Suite)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking to get a made to measure suite when I'm over next month. Can anyone recommend or know any good places?  I'll be staying just outside Kranuan so Khon Kaen fairly easy to get to. Cheers.

If I were you, I'd buy some handmade silk of highest quality from farmers who produce silk once the rice harvest is done.

Many of them do the whole process that includes feeding of the silkworms, then cooking them, to get the strings of silk, coloring them, often with natural colors. And in the end the worms will be eaten, some Thais call them "Thai Viagra".

Should you do that you'll have something unique, something you can't buy at an ordinary shop. Nobody will have the same suit, that's for sure. And finding a tailor shouldn't be a problem, many villages have their specialists who do a great job without ripping people off.

Some of these farmers know a good tailor who is doing a great job. Really worth a try and you won't get conned by an Indian store with fake everything.

Add a little bling and they would make good suits for Calvin M.
