Relatives of slain taxi driver attack suspect at police station

Daily News reported that relatives of the taxi driver murdered in Bangkok on Monday attacked the suspect yesterday.

 

Fists and feet flew as Bang Khen cops led 34 year old Suphong Phothino into the interview room. He was struck in the head before cops managed to get him away.

 

 

The taxi driver was apparently murdered after a minor incident of cutting in on the road.

 

Footage from exit two at the Ying Charoen market in Saphan Mai, Pahonyothin Road on Monday showed the start of a fist fight between the suspect and Sarawut Tangpanyasak, 44.

 

As they fought they tumbled out of view with one man going for something in his pocket.

 

 

Sarawut died from being stabbed twice in the back of the neck and back, it was earlier reported.

 

Pol Col Amnat Intarasuan of the Bang Khen police said that Suphong, nabbed on a warrant, gave evidence that the pair had argued over one or the other cutting in front while driving.

 

Suphong has been charged with murder and having a knife in his possession.

 

A press conference is set to take place today, Wednesday.

an extension of the thai police's idiotic practice of re-enactments; in this case an assault, however justified, a crime was committed inside the police station , in full view, and apparently nothing done about it;

so the police here showed awful judgment exposing the suspect to violence And ineptitude for not enforcing the law

If the police did their jobs (of course we know they don't and never will) they would search cars (especially taxi's) for weapons and have hefty fines and possible jail term for repeat offenders.

If the suspect is found guilty, justice in my eyes Would be to give him to the family of the deceased.
