What movies or TV shows are you watching now?

Just watched the Accountant and The Girl with the Gifts. Both outstanding movies. My favourite being the Accountant. Probably the best film Ben Affleck has done since Gone Girl (2014).

Not watched the Girl with the Gifts (been warned off Girl on a train) but did think BA did a great job on The Accountant

Not sure it was a better performance than in Gone Girl but certainly up there [emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303]

Started "The Girl on a train", but it seems a bit weak.

Anyone seen it yet?

I thought it was very good, I'd already read the book and the movie followed that very closely.

Saw the last 2 episodes in Nambia. Best Grand Tour episodes so far. Television can't get any better than this show. 9.9/10 IMO

Two hours of driving up and down a beach? I thought it was an absolute waste of time.

Don't know why you were warned off Girl on a Train, thought it was very good.

Show me diversity...

I just wish I could be paid as much for simply playing me...

Rock up, spit out a few lines, million bucks thank you very kindly ma'am

Sh1t & people take the p1ss out of Keanu Reeves, Ben Affleck for not being able to act, at least they manage to not be themselves every now & again

Edit: by the way, that's my definition of an Actor... your mileage may vary

when has keanu  ever not been keanu? or ben affleck for that matter?

So Bill & Ted's Keanu is the same as John Wick's Keanu? And The Sum of all Fears Affleck is the same as Gone Girl's Affleck?

Anyways we've all agreed to disagree on this one so let's move on shall we...

I think you'll enjoy Westworld, I was just disappointed with the ending but they're obviously teeing up for a follow on which I'll no doubt watch.

Shut Eye

If I don't care for a series or a film, I usually won't bother writing about it. However...Shut Eye, from Hulu is a special case. I watched all ten episodes because the writing seemed fresh and original, and I had hopes that at least one of the main players might do a moral turnaround. That didn't happen. Give it credit in having just enough suspenseful twists to hold my interest.

This show is as close to pornography as anything I've ever seen on "premium cable." The only thing missing was an appearance by Porno SuperStar Ron Jeremy, but I guess he's now too old for such work. At least, with his dark looks, he might pass as Roma, unlike most of the actors on this show, particularly Isabella Rossellini as the GodMom of the Marks Clan. Ridiculous.

The depiction of the Roma community (once called 'gypsies') is unflattering, to say the least. I'm sure that community, which has battled oppression everywhere, will be mightily offended by their portrayal here.

If you're looking for lots of ultra-violence, gratuitous sex, and non-stop cons and double crosses, this might be for you. I didn't save it for a second viewing, and won't be waiting for its sequel.

SIX

im in. thanks

Yes and its on episode 4 at the moment 1st class, unlike the rubbish effort the BBC replaced it with

it is very much similar in format, but the "American" and the celebrity brain fart features have to go. they need to find a more convincing stig replacement and the dead stars are just stupid.

features are not quite as artfully shot but very good nonetheless

Has anyone else tried ICE yet? I'm up to episode 5 (the most recent) and it's been consistently very good. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4659174/

Yep, I wasn't that keen on the first 2 episodes but it's grown on me.

Donald Sutherland looks like a good addition.

The release of the episodes seems to be all over the place though.

Saw the Grand Tour latest episode. By far the greatest TV show on television at the moment.

Still, I am missing a good horror movie. Watched the Exorcist original the other night. But want some thing new and scary as sh1t. The Conjuring 2 was okay with the scary Nun. Japanese, Korean horror bores me. Anyone know of a good horror movie that will actually scare me.
