Thai-Canadian woman caught trying smuggle ketamine in her bra

Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a Thai-Canadian woman who was found to be in possession of ketamine.

 

Police arrested Sharon “Rose” Lowman, 25, after 0.617grams of ketamine was found stashed in her bra.

 

Police became suspicious of Ms Lowman while she was queuing to pass through immigration after spending the night gambling at a casino in Poipet.

 

Officials said the state of her eyes looked like she had been on drugs and decided to search her.

 

Ms Lowman admitted the ketamine was hers, telling police that she bought it for 1,000 baht outside the casino and that she had saved some to use later.

 

Thairath reported Ms Lowman has a Canadian passport and Thai ID card and has been working as PR girl in Thailand.

 

She is currently in police custody awaiting further legal proceedings.

Damn, was it really worth for 1/2 gram K.

Number one rule.. sunglasses are you friend when high or drunk and passing through an immigration checkpoint. Especially one that is outdoors.

Mixed up in Casino & drugs, can imagine what kind of PR  work she was doing.

My goodness, she looks like a twelve-year-old... or Wednesday Addams. Either way, as a "PR girl" (yeah, right!) who most likely has been working in the country for some time, she should've known better. She's gambled out of sheer stupidity - and lost. But was half a gram of ketamine really worth risking to spend several years in a shitty Thai prison? Her facial expression in the photo speaks volumes about her - unfortunately much too late - realization.

Canada will probably start to look real good real soon.

 

After she eventually gets out of jail and/or prison.

 

All for a bit more than a half gram.

She's lucky....  Being arrested for drugs in Vietnam or Indonesia could lead to a death penalty.  Thailand is relatively lenient.

 the huge drugs hauls i see every week here, it wold seem drugs are easy to come by, silly girl taking that risk.

As ugly as she is ,she probably needed drugs to look at her self in the mirror every day.

Hopefully by the time before she is convicted the ketamine will be washed of the bad girls drug list.

The female officer on the right in the picture sure looks like she could be the CO of the division for discipline...a barrels of laughs she must be.

i pity her. she is just a poster child for the ineffective war on drugs in a border town that is literally flooded with real criminals.

Ketamine is a helluva drug.....

ketamine is such dangerous drug that they use it for children with fractures and dislocations.

 

 

a great idea, smuggling it in her bra, wonder how difficult it would be to "lick that method"?

She looks a bit like Sally Shock from The Nightmare before Christmas. Probably in a state of shock too. Kind of goth like but certainly not ugly as some are suggesting.

I guess her Canadian husband, Mr Lowman, now knows where his wife is. Probably ex-wife since she's sunk so low as to be working Poipet while on drugs. Since she's only 25, they can't have been together that long, three years maybe. 

 

Although there is a hint that she might be of mixed parentage. A sad case, anyway.
