Tiled Flooring?

Hi... Appreciate some advice?

The floor tiles in my 82 sq mtr condo are like a sponge for dirt. No amount of cleaning (have also had them done professionally) they are still ingrained with dirt. Sick of looking at them but dont really want the expence and upheaval of brand new tiled floor...So my question is..Can you lay tiles on top of existing tiles, or possibly wood flooring on to of tiles??

Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.....

I don't know if you can put tiles on tiles, but probably yes

But for sure you can put laminate (or similar things) on the existing tiles

Thanks for the info... I was thinking laminate for a change actually... So will explore this and get a few prices

Yes, no problem.

Yes, you can absolutely lay tile on top of tile.  There is even a special adhesive made for such.

 

You will need to remove all the doors to cut off a small amount at the bottom to allow for clearance above the new floor height.

 

Someplace in this forum there have been topics dedicated to the topic, but I'm a klutz at search terms so will let you do that yourself.  ?
