She's been looked at and admired ever since she first hit puberty - do you really think she has no idea what's up? You mentioned she's career oriented - she is no shrinking violet. She knows good and well what may be required of her in this venture and is prepared to do what it takes to move up the ladder. This might be a good time for some self-examination. The fact that you respect "career ambition" in a woman from a culture where the women usually value fertility and family first says more than you realize. You're likely a stepping stone and definitely not her last stop. Don't try to keep her - she's already checked out and sizing up the next opportunity. As far as 100k, that's bhat, right? Because nobody gets paid that in the Thai army right off the streets - not even the, uh, more ambitious female recruits. It's a story

Point of this thread was not relationship talk but me trying to help a good friend make an important decision as she wanted an opinion from me, her family and of course herself. Just to get some facts straight.. A) I do not yet consider her my girlfriend, but more of a good friend with benefits, although it is more starting to look like a relationship and she is the one who is pushing it that way. That's why I wrote 'girlfriend' / friend in my original post. I'm not a possessive person, plenty of fish in the sea, but I wouldn't mind if something more comes out of it as she is a nice and smart girl. B) She clearly has an idea what's up which is why I also posted this thread, as it does look suspicious. This is exactly what she was worried about and in the meantime has decided to not take the job offer after talking with more people and hearing my thoughts. I respect "career ambition" very much in women especially in Thailand, where it's easier to meet girls who are looking for an easy way to freeload with a rich husband. I have lots of respect for her in particular, as she comes from a very wealthy family and could have an easy life, but she chooses to work hard as she wants to make her own income. The new job would actually mean more time to spend with myself because her current job has long shifts and short holidays. How about we stay on topic? ? For your scepticism about the salary - I fully agree as it sounds very suspicious.

For your scepticism about the salary - I fully agree as it sounds very suspicious. On the one hand it could sound suspicious but I have a Thai mate who used to work in marketing for a watch company (as far as I know, no links Dumbo's dead friend), and he was paid 85K baht a month compared with 25 to 30, which was what most of his Thai colleagues were on at the time. But he was hired purely to meet with reps from foreign companies and speak to them over the phone pretty much every day. The thing is, due to spending a fair bit if time in the US and UK, his English is as fluent as non-native speaker can get. He even reads English novels. So he was kind of a prize for the company tp have in the office to that job, no one else could operate as smoothly in English, nor did they have his familiarity with westerners. So, it's not completely inconceivable that they require someone highly competent in English and familiar with dealing with non-Thais. Obviously, I don't know all the details about your friend, but I wouldn't dismiss any job opportunity immediately based in nothing more than assumption without all the facts. Also, unlike Herpes, a job isn't necessarily for life, you can leave.
theguyfromanotherforum
Why is it your business posting about her career choices on a forum? Maybe try not to stick your nose where it doesn't belong. I'm sure if you showed her this thread she'd be thrilled.

Unless, of course, the offered job description also includes assignments like "mia noi" or "gik" or "sideline girl." Goes straight to the children and lower rank of family always. It could be an excellent career move . To the OP - I think just attractive would have been fine. I’m quite sure your girlfriend will be totally delighted for you to post on a forum ( full of nutters) that she has “ large natural breasts” There is a world wide movement to give women a little more respect - if you had not noticed. The more I read on this thread, the more I think it is just click bait. Or somebody just having some fun.

Perhaps, because my opinion matters for helping her make choice. She specifically has asked for my opinion to help her choose. Before I can form my own opinion, I need to hear some experiences as I have zero knowledge of the army here. Isn't that kind of what forums are for? Why would she see this thread, it's an anonymous forum and I haven't posted any personal details...

Keep all documentation. SMS messages, emails and a diary. It will be difficult but you go in eyes wide open, no surprises. See how it goes. There are no lines to cross in Thailand. She would be harassed from day one, with no recourse but to quit. 1

I am sure a "wealthy" girl asked you for an opinion regarding her career choices. As if her own family can't give her a better advice than some clueless Westerner and equally clueless forum posters. She would also be thrilled about you describing her tits in the opening post. You do come extremely loso which is surprising as girls from wealthy Thai families can smell a stinker miles away. Your whole post is just an embarrassment and it does come out like you are literally screaming "look I found a hot girl who's going to be paid 100k baht a month". Mind your own business, ROFL. She can always resign after a couple of months if she doesn't like it for whatever reason. Also, in a liaison role like that, she might make a lot of useful contacts, which could lead onto to other career opportunities. You posted this on the forum for people to comment and my comment to you is that you lack any fundamental class whatsoever. Instead of proving me wrong, your reply just confirms this. Newsflash.... I am not old and I have experience dating a wealthy Thai woman in Canada. I know for a fact that no "wealthy" Thai woman would ask some farang mug for an opinion about her career choices while you letting everyone know the size of her tits in the OP. If in doubt, I can ask my wife's (billionaire, brag, brag) female friend and see what she says. Like I said, I am sure your "wealthy girlfriend" would be thrilled by your fake concern and genuine boasting. ROFL
