A terrible situation for all. But only those in-charge with specialist advice (some of that may be conflicting) can make the decision.

Get them out now, if they can, and risk some loss of life, or leave them in the cave for a longer period of time and still risk some loss of life.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Finger pointing and blame will happen , either way.

Maybe the King can make the decision on advice of the Government because he will be immune (I think/hope) from any repercussions.

I was thinking that maybe some 'high authority' maybe reluctant (political expediency, loss of face etc.) to take the responsibility to make a good decision on time, - that is all.

I imagine the decision maker will be the Chiang Rai governor. If things go sideways, higher ups can throw him under the bus with no ramifications for themselves.

I think the decision-maker will be the weather. The rescuers are at the point where larger pumps are being installed and the water level is still dropping.

They may simply be biding their time, feeding the kids and coach up and teaching them as much diving skill as possible while pumping out as much water as possible.

But, when it starts raining again and if the pumps cannot continue dropping the water levels, given the small area they are already in, there will be an optimum point at which to decide to dive them out.

They could wait but if the water level where they are now starts to rise I believe they will have no choice.

I don't believe (IMHO) that waiting out the rainy season is tenable unless they can dive them a short distance to a larger dry area - Pattaya beach?

Sedating the kids? Been discussed on here before. If that reduces the risk of panic in the kids and possible harm to the divers then it could be a way to go.

Discussion on TVF is great (mostly) and even what seemed like crazy ideas like the rescue by bouncy castle (read inflateable tube) are being prepared by Tesla engineers.

In the end there maybe no choice though, in which case no one can be held up for the decision that will eventually have to be taken.

I'm sure all members thoughts are with the boys, coach and rescuers.
