Police in Suphanburi are hunting an 18 year old hoodlum who went to his aunt's house and attacked his relative with a knife over a small debt.

Muang district cops found Thawin Petchthong, 50, in a pool of blood barely alive in a one story house in Don Kamyan sub-district.

She had slash wounds to her head that had exposed the back of her skull.

There were also ten defense wounds on her arms and cuts to her legs. She was rushed to hospital for life saving surgery.

Her handicapped daughter Janthamas, 24, told the cops that the person responsible was her mother's 18 year old nephew "Wow".

He had arrived with another guy who she didn't know and demanded payment of 7,000 baht that her mother had owed to Wow's father for many years.

An argument broke out and the nephew set about her mother with a knife before fleeing.

Police went to the home of the nephew and was told by neighbors that he had fled in a pick-up.

Sanook said that the young man was a hoodlum with plenty of previous offences for drugs and two for assault with a knife.

The hunt is on with police saying he will be charged with attempted murder when found.
