I am very glad to see that the students have twigged on to the real function of the rule change; it was never about sex, it was always about the ability to protest.

 

I sincerely hope that the students really pile up on this one; the greatest single threat to continued and long-term military rule is the students, and they know it.

The rest of Thailand are enjoying a trouble free lifestyle and are simply not interested.  The masses are not protesting however a lot of farang are just to damn stupid to get it. The reality is these young people are protesting, not a bunch of farangs.  What is wrong with these young people protesting?  What does their protests have to do with any foreigners in Thailand ?   The Thais I work with are serious about education.  If others are not, they need to be to keep up with Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
