The world of Thai social media enjoyed the story of a teacher at a school in Korat who was pictured praying for luck after a python slithered under her motorcycle seat.

Staff and pupils at the Kulno School in Phimai tried everything to get the 50 centimeter long snake out but it was no use.

Eventually Namfon Phromrak took matters into her own hands, literally, clasping a lucky nine loss-sticks and prayed.

The cheeky serpent soon was on its way back to nature and Namfon was convinced that 3601 - the license plate number - was going to make her and everyone at the school rich in the upcoming draw.

Respect

Respect the customs and culture.....

After you have lived here 10 years or more like a few of us, you will learn to laugh at the customs & culture the way we do.  Doesn't mean we disrespect them, but merely laugh at their ways at times.

Sometimes they remind me of Stone Age people, with Stone Age beliefs.

What do you expect when even the top government officials are seen doing the same thing, either by paying an outrageous fee for a "lucky car tag or insisting on delay starting many official state projects until the "correct day",etc.
