Thanks,

You can order them from the Nokia shop in BKK. Presumably you know that you pay the call transfer fee when one SIM transfers to the other?

You can get them at many shops that sell new and second hand mobile phones and recharge cards. They fit most mobile phones - not just your Nokia 9500.

When I visit Thailand, I use one in my Nokia 6101. It's basically a clip and a flexible plastic strip which holds 2 SIM cards. I put my regular Australian SIM card in one slot and my Thai pre-paid card in the other.

To swap between cards, I just hit #3360# on my phone. There is no need to turn the phone off and then on again. All the phone numbers I use are stored on my phone - not on one of the cards. They are all stored in International format - example +61891233456 (Australia) and +66812345678 (Thailand).

When I leave Thailand, I just give the Thai SIM card (with remaining credit) to my partner.

The Dual SIM Adapter costs around 250 baht. If you ask nicely, the sales-person will even install it for you.

If both numbers are from AIS you can have 2 numbers on one sim card. Just go to the AIS office and it takes 15 minutes. This means that both numbers are active at the same time.
