Popular Post Krataiboy
I'm no lip-reading expert, but I could swear he is reprising the words of Sandie Shaw's 1967 Eurovision Song Contest winner "Puppet On A String". He certainly looks old enough to remember it. And probably explains why the Thais around him aren't joining in. Popular Post Jeremy50
Just some doughboy moving his lips, average bar-bum trailer trash joe with big gut and tatts, it's all really rather comical and sad, like he's desperately trying to please, or he's been here a couple of weeks and is 'in love' with his new home. What's with the wai at the end, and why is he facing the wrong way? 2 1 1

You must be confused about what the word bitter means. Why would someone be bitter what over some random stranger is doing? I was just voicing my critical opinion that I think it's stupid for a foreign to be singing another countries national anthem because it is not their country. Nothing more nothing less. Have you never issued a critical opinion before? Edited October 3, 2018 by vinegarbase 2

You hear the national athem twice a day, at some point you must get it. If someone is not total ignorant about his host country, should have checked the meaning and maybe the wording, at least I did. I don't expect it from the 14 day P....... (choose one) hordes though.

You gotta respect the military junta's orders, you know. Phibun said so. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_National_Anthem#Thai_Cultural_revolution Quote In 1939, when the name of the country was changed from Siam to Thailand, the competition was launched to create new lyrics, with those by Luang Saranupraphan winning. Thai Prime Minister Plaek Phibunsongkhram ordered the anthem to be played every day at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and ordered the populace to stand up to show respect for the nation.

Given the national anthem ends with the words: Quote The Thai people are peace-loving, But they are no cowards at war. They shall allow no one to rob them of their independence, Nor shall they suffer tyranny. All Thais are ready to give up every drop of blood For the nation’s safety, freedom and progress. The combat trousers and bow and arrow demonstrate that he is always prepared - a sure candidate for the "I'm considerably more Thai than you" garland of the year. wellred
I do the same any time I'm in cinema. Where's my <deleted> article? 5555 I started learning to read and write Thai a few years ago. Don't have time to learn new stuff now but try to practice writing with friends on 'fessbook'. It's a lovely language.

If you have no respect for Thailand as a Country , you really should move on somewhere else . I say the same thing to disrespectful foreigners in my Country , if you dont like it, dont stay
