BANGKOK, 1st November 2018 (NNT) – The Tourist Police Bureau this week joined Khao San Road operators in holding Halloween celebrations on the famous tourist strip in Bangkok, with the aim of promoting visits.

The Tourist Police Bureau dispatched over 100 officers to work alongside business operators on Khao Sarn Road during Halloween day celebrations yesterday (October 31). The officers oversaw security and helped to facilitate the arrival of tourists along the landmark road, helping to maintain an exciting atmosphere where many revelers were seen in scary costumes.

Meanwhile, a group of youths dressed as victims of drunk driving, campaigned for road safety in the vicinity of Phayathai and Victory Monument with support from the Thai Health Foundation. The campaign sought to reduce road accidents from drunk driving, which pick up during Halloween.

The Thai Red Cross Society used the holiday to invite members of the public to donate blood with medical workers donning costumes to receive donations. Those giving blood on the day received a pen with the words “Mummy Blood” as a souvenir.

In Chiang Mai province, a pharmacy on Kaeo Nawarat had as many as 20 staff dress up in Halloween costumes, surprising and delighting customers.

Nan Christian Studies School in Nan province also joined in the celebration by allowing students to go to class in full costume.

I hope that they did not mistake any of the bells in pubs on KhaoSan road for the wake up bell - could be a costly mistake.

Is TVF news being dumbed down recently? Or am I just becoming less tolerant of utterly uninteresting subjects?

Halloween, like KFC and McDonalds, the tentacles of American culture know no bounds! I'm surprised so many are willing to lap it up!

Halloween celebrations ..........Why on earth would anyone celebrate Halloween?

One day Thailand will have Halloween for real

They lap it up because they lack 'moral fiber'. Aussies and Brits are the worst. They complain, mewl and gnash their teeth for the obvious reason their culture is fast on the fade and they do nothing to stop it, except whinge.

As China waxes strong likely expect to see lunar New Year celebrations on every High Street.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds those police uniforms scary.

How did they distinguish themselves from those dressed as zombies and vampire victims?
