A Breaking Bad movie is officially in the works

They say all good things must come to an end. But that saying has never really applied to the Breaking Bad franchise, right?

 

Following on from the ongoing success of the show’s first spin-off series Better Call Saul, it’s now been confirmed that a new film based on the original Breaking Bad is in the works.

 

Series creator Vince Gilligan is driving the project, which Variety say will have ‘ties to the beloved series’.

 

Details about the project are pretty scarce at this stage, but the movie is expected to be a two-hour feature – although it’s not yet known whether Gilligan will be making a TV movie or a theatrically-released film.

just discovered this brilliant series recently and now hooked. Bryan Cranston is pure delight.

Between Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, if Gillian takes the The X-File approach of TV series and movies, and based and the rich varieties of characters and storylines that are not anchored to a linear timeline, he could run this franchise for years to come.  And think of the possibilities if the franchise combines storylines with another wonderfully quirky program like, Ozark.  Now that would be thinking outside the box.  Anyway, love the work and looking forward to the movie.
