BANGKOK — Not long after the junta lifted its ban on politics Tuesday, a campaign banner for one candidate had already appeared in Bangkok.

The pro-junta Palang Pracharat Party, which supports Prayuth’s return to the premiership, became the first party known to exercise newly returned political freedoms with several banners erected in the Chaeng Wattana district, as noticed by a Thai PBS reporter. Hope the Thais wake up or Burma/Cambodia style here we come.

"Nutta is also concerned the election won’t be free and fair."  Depends who is winning.  The junta will not allow a repeat of the last election.  Without people like Nutta, Thailand would be doomed.

Am I the only one that's noticed the long-standing campaigning, from all corners, for months now?

Isn't that lovely. Am really looking forward to 2 months of political advertising and news. Whoopee.

Interesting to know if any RED banners will be allowed!

Hey Aqualung...let's hope it is productive and gets someone credible into the leadership positions....

but, that is half of a Red White banner, and well we know what that does in reaction to tshirts...

Does anyone actually think there’s going to be a fair election? This will be rigged every step of the way. A media circus and the people will choose a Junta mouthpiece if not old swollen face himself.

I could not care less who gets in. Politics do not affect my little dung hill.

Interesting to note, I don't believe she and her closest [and famed] activist associates have not publicly demonstrated support for any political parties/movements.......with the exception of Khun Rome, who has jumped on the TP-splinter group bandwagon.

Love Nut for her general persistence and strong disposition -
