A video made by Pattaya News showed Chonburi police and forensics teams poring over a Nissan Sunny car and a Yamaha Fino motorbike believed used by a gold shop robber.

But no prints of Prasert Rortkhong, 41, were found.

Police said the bike was caught on CCTV being used to rob the Yaowarat Krungthep gold shop on the second floor of Big C/ Home Pro on Sukhumvit Road in Muang district of Chonburi on December 10th.

A short CCTV clip from inside the shop showed Prasert grab 53 baht weight in gold (worth a little over a million baht) after threatening a man with a gun.

Prasert is believed to have headed to Kanchanburi after the theft and then over the border to Myanmar to where he works temporarily for Ital Thai construction.

Pol-Col Jitti Rorkbangyang said that an arrest warrant was out for the suspect and that the Myanmar police were helping out.

Damn... willing to lose everything over 30 000 us dollars... not worth it in my book.

If the guy spends only 100 000 bht a year of his booty he will only be able to survive 10 years.

Dumbass...
