jayboy
Interesting contrast with the British Prime Minister Clement Attlee who often took the tube from Central London to his home in Stanmore. There was a lengthy walk from the tube station to his house. When it was suggested he should arrange an official car for at least this last part of the journey, he refused. He thought it would be an irresponsible use of public funds and a betrayal of the British taxpayer. Different times.
