I am coming over to Thailand for a couple of weeks just after Songkran and want a few days break with the family - wife & 2 kids. Ideally I'd like to find a two room bungalow type place near the beach somewhere, 3-4000 baht/night max. But I wouldn't mind heading north/ north-east from BKK except I think its a bit hot at that time of year.

We could go to Phuket - its easy to keep the kids entertained there but I'm sorta 'over' Phuket.

I was looking on the net at BangSaphan - north of Chumphon.

Whats the weather like at that time of year on that side of the gulf?

I was looking at the Coral Hotel and SanLuang resort website. Anybody been to either of these places?

Any feedback about that area would be much appreciated - in fact I'd be interested to hear any suggestions from people who've done the family holiday thing in LOS.
