lelapin Posted March 1, 2019 Share Posted March 1, 2019 Are there any UK banks that anyone could recommend :- I am permanently resident in Thailand I do not need a UK credit card I have several monthly / yearly pension payments to be paid into my bank I want them to offer a good internet service for my laptop I want an account for making debit card payments and also a separate savings account I am registered with the Inland Revenue with my Thai address I will occasionally wish to transfer money to my Bangkok Bank sterling account Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although a bank with only Telephone & Internet access they require you to visit a HSBC Branch (HSBC own them after taking over the Midland Bank) if not happy with your "residence Documents" provided on line! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyone thinking of moving to Thailand should think long and hard before giving up a UK bank account and a UK address.
