is Mae Sai and 30d visa exempts currently possible

Featured Replies

Hi, I was planning to do a 60d extension based on SE non-o in Chiang Mai..  But i asked in another thread, and there is a lot of paperwork involved and take kid out of school and properly a stressfull day.

Since I was planning a trip for Chiang Rai anyway to visit a friend I was thinking of getting a 30day exempt and then later getting a real ME

Anyway.. for a quick temporary solution

1: Is Mae Sai friendly to exit and return on 30d exempt

2: no land crossing in 2019, but a couple in 2018 and a history of non-o based on marriage and Thai Child. Would a history of this kind be an issue in Mae Sai you guys think??

3: Is it better (safer) to go to Cambodia (ban laem) ..

Any advice is very appreciated

Thanks in advance

You shouldn’t have any problem getting 30 days at the Mae Sai crossing.

There’s no reason to use another border crossing.

Mae Sai is a good place for a border bounce for a 30-day visa exempt entry.
