I normally eat Thai grub about 90% of the time, but lately my taste buds have started demanding something a little more… British. 😋

I’m getting a serious craving for a proper traditional meat pie — the good, meaty, pastry-covered sort that makes you forget you’re supposed to be eating healthy! 😂

So, does anyone know anywhere around this area where I can get GOOD QUALITY meat pies?

I’m definitely looking for quality over price. I’ve tried most of the usual suspects and, to be brutally honest, they’ve been pretty average at best. 😬

And before anyone says it…

NO, I’m not making them myself! 😂
I’m a lazy-arsed Yorkshireman — if I wanted to spend hours in the kitchen making pies, I’d still be living in Yorkshire! 🤣

I tried many different pies made in Thailand and am always a little underwhelmed. Korat Chef is probably the best of those I tried. I bought a bag of Hollands frozen meat pies also cheese and onion, which really hit the spot as a taste of home. Sadly doctors orders say no more pies!

So far I've only found one or two decent pies in Pattaya. One that worked for me was "The Chefs Kitchen" - Tikka Masala. That was the only decent pie in their range. Bought at Siambury's. Siambury's have quite a few other manufacturers as well but I haven't found anything really good.

Tinnies are ok but at 180b , more expensive than Australia

The secret is to get your wife or significant other ,to make them for you,

taught my wife many years ago how to make them ,and she makes them

very well , and most importantly you know what's going in them ,mince

and onion, Steak and kidney, cornbeef and potato pasty,but you must

have an oven ...

Is there such a thing as a healthy meat pie, UK style? I've only had American Pot Pies back home, from the basic crappy ones to the best offered, and those were okay once in awhile. I'm sure I could make them if I was back home with the right ingredients, and likely find them for sale somewhere, but never got around to looking until I see the interest in them here. I've heard of Parkers there.

I've tried all the local brands and the only one up to snuff is this company; they actually use real proper chunks of meat and are not just all mushy filling or thick dough like the others being mentioned.
