Next month i have to apply for extension of stay again.

My embassy still does the legallisation letter,my question is do

i also need to have 400 000 in my bank or do the old combination rules

still apply?

The rules do not clearly state what is needed for the combination of income and money in the bank.

Some offices have said half of the money needs to be kept in the bank instead of 400k baht. Others have stated you have keep 400k baht in the bank.

Best to check with your local office as to what is needed.

Thank you ,i took your advice and went to immigration this morning.The place was packed but i just went tp the information desk and asked the young lady there a few questions.

She told me for the combination option (letter from embassy plus letter from the bank)nothing has changed.All i need in the bank is enough money to make up the difference between income and 800 000 baht.No mention of needing 400 000 in the bank at all.This is Ta Yang immigation office in Phetchaburi province.
