Moving to Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,
I have an RV extention and currently live in Chonburi. I will soon be moving to BKK for a month staying in a serviced apartment.
The apartment owner will complete a TM30 form when I check in. Am I still obliged to hike out to Bangkok Immigration the next day with a completed TM28?
Thank you for all info and advice!

No need to worry about the TM28 form unless you plan on changing your permanent address to Bangkok.

Is it possible to apply for a retirement extension using the same process after submitting a TM28? And after the extension is granted, go back to the original address and file another TM28 there?

Thank you Ubonjoe. The TM30 is sufficient as far as Thai Immigration is concerned?

Not really since for the extension application the may want more proof of residence.

I see no reason for somebody to do what you suggested.
