Palang Pracharat party leader Uttama Savanayana announced today that there is no need for the party to rush to form a government because the official election results have yet to be announced by the Election Commission.

Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, he said the pro-Prayut party is still talking with its potential allies about forming a stable coalition. He said that the talks have not reached the point of discussing the sharing of cabinet seats among parties in the alliance, but that he is confident that the party will be able to form a coalition government.

Party secretary-general Mr. Sontirat Sontijirawong, meanwhile, criticized the Pheu Thai-led alliance for taking advantage of the situation to claim legitimacy for its bid to set up a coalition government, despite the fact that official poll results are not declared yet and the allocation of party-list seats is not finalized.

Possibly.

The longer the period of "uncertainty" continues the greater the number of options emerge to end that uncertainty.

I will leave it to readers imaginations as to what one of those options might be..

As I said in a previous posting, they still have about 6 weeks to massage results.

Still fitting out the new tanks ? ????

There is no rush because they almost certainly know whats coming next. Another party dissolved, a recount with a shock decision or the upholding of some oddballs protest at a Facebook post. They know "the force" is with them and that as good people they will prevail. Plenty of laws that can be bent for use.

The 250 junta appointed senators take a little of the pressure off I guess. ????
