mjd430
Hello, I'm hoping somebody can help me. I used to live in New Jersey in USA and ate frequently at a local Thai restaurant. I always ordered a dish called Pad Mie Namprig Pao from them. I moved out of state and can not find anything like this dish. I tried contacting the restaurant to see if they would share their recipe but they won't. I just want to make it for myself as I miss having that dish so often. I've pasted the description of the dish from their menu below. Does anyone know a recipe for this? I'm dying for this dish! Thanks in advance! Pad Mie Namprig Pao Sauteed thin rice noodle with fresh garlic, chili, onion, bean curd, beansprout, and egg in a tasty chili paste sauce. Can be ordered with choice of chicken or shrimp. Oxx
Nam phrik phao can be bought in jars. Most people don't make it themselves. The "mie" bit of the dish simply refers to the type of noodle. Ba mee are wheat noodles with egg. Here are a couple of recipes that might help you get started with your recreation: https://www.thespicedlife.com/thai-fried-noodles-with-nam-prik-pao/ http://myhungryhusband.com/nam-prik-pao-thai-chilli-paste-noodles/
