hotgeekus
Anyone use the DVR that UBC have? I work long hours and miss all the shows I want and after having TIVO for two years, really want one, just in time for the start of F1? Any info on price, contract etc? I have platnum package from UBC.....
hotgeekus
I finally summoned up the strength to call True/UBC and they said that the Digital Video Recorders are not available until hopefully end of April, which will probably be June the way it works with them here.... solo siam
Do they work with Satellite UBC or are they just for the IPTV crowd?
astral
Does it have a DVD player/recorder built in? What size is the HD?
hotgeekus
I have no clue to all your questions, since I was the original poster asking the first question? If it is based on what I have had before, as the box I have now, is for cable. Usually just a 20-30-40 gb hd which is hooked up tivo style, but since it is not out yet, I don't know... Cromarty
UBC don't have an EPG so they will have to get that sorted before they release anything. Once they do have an EPG it will open the possibility of other recorders.
solo siam
If I can get hold of an EPG I will use a Media Centre PC, the one in Vista is pretty amazing I've heard.

solo siam
Yes seems this does or at least should work with MCE and Vista, I will try it out, bit complex though.

You will get your dvr and a VERY VERY pleasant surprise which its not permitted to talk about on this forum......subject to you having broadband.
