Excellent Service yesterday to renew my Extension of Stay based on Retirement, at Pattaya/Jomtien Immigration.

The only difference from last year was they required a House rental agreement or proof of Condo ownership,

I gave them a copy of my house rental, Copy of House masters ID and House book all signed by him.

I went in at 1415 and out within 15 mins. only two in the queue before me.

 

I was given a paper detailing the new requirement of a min of 800k in the bank two months before and

three months after the issue of the extension, which I had to sign.

Today when I picked my passport I expected to be given a date to show them the 800K was still in the Bank but nothing was said.

Question.

Are immigration making ANY check on the Banks 800K after 90 days/3 mths

Or

Is it just a random check on some people?

Yep, always great service at Jomtien...busy and amazing how they deal with everyone on a daily basis

No one knows yet about the check on bank books after 90 days as its too soon, but plenty of people seem to have been given advisory bits of paper suggesting they will be checking.

From what I've read in the past they give you a document and it contains a date at the bottom when you should return to show the 800k balance.

I have just looked at the paperwork properly, I had not noticed that at the bottom of the page that they had added a date I was to show them a statement/Bank Book again.
