Khon Kaen police say they have arrested six alleged drug mules and seized 406,000 methamphetamine pills.

Khon Kaen governor Somsak Jungtrakul, provincial police commissioner Lt Gen Surachai Kuandechakup, and Maj Gen Somchai Khuaphachai, commander of the 23rd Army Circle, held a joint press conference.

The six suspects were identified as Natthapong Eedpaenlinfah, 23, Suthin Je-onsri, 25, Somsak Josama-ae, 40, Thossaporn Emkwan, 25, and two females aged 16 and 19.

Police received tip-offs that a house in Ban Wang Tor village in Tambon Ban Khor in Muang district was used to distribute drugs.

People noticed numerous vehicles and strangers at the house.

The suspects reportedly said they were hired by Somchai Lampring to store the drugs at the house and distribute them.

Police said they had yet to locate the alleged drugs boss.
