Dear all, Kindly please help. i left my ex-company in September 2018 and go back to my country. recently i came to Thailand for my new job. today HR brought us to get the digital work permit and it was done,but when we prepare for the multi-entry visa,the officer told me my ex-employer didn't cancel my visa and old work permit,so my question is:if my ex-employer doesn't want to help me to provide the support docs for cancellation,what should i do?thank you guys.

It is your responsibility to cancel you extension of stay (it is not a visa) at immigration not your employers. You should of done it using a termination letter from your employer before leaving the country.

Ask your former employer for a termination letter dated on or after the day you left the country last year.

Work Permit cancellation is the responsibility of the employer, at least when it comes to schools. My last school didn't cancel my wp and they were fined 20,000 baht but I couldn't get a new 1 until they canceled the old 1. This also involved 2 different labor departments. 1 in the provinces and 1 in bkk.

Well, when you left thailand, you lost your NON-B visa already. Although im kinda surprise no one asked you about your termination letter. They want to see that because your on NON-B visa and your about to leave the country. Unless, you left the country on the same they your non-b ends.

 

Plus you said you already have your WP, which means actually they cancelled your WP already (your old work). But the problem is your visa.. You didnt leave the country with your termination letter.

As Ubon said, contact them, get a termination letter and go to imm office.
