“It was a productive discussion and both parties agreed we have a good relationship,” Mr Setha said. “On behalf of the government, I thanked her [Ms Baeriswyl] and the Swiss government for their support in Cambodia.” Mr Setha said both sides discussed sub-national administrative reforms that has been supported by the Swiss government over the past three years.

“The three-year programme supporting reforms came to an end. Ms Baeriswyl said the Swiss government will continue [with a new programme],” he added, noting that the Swiss government will disburse $4.1 million for new programme. Mr Setha said that during the meeting, he requested the Swiss government to offer support for the second phase of the government’s national plan by providing technical assistance.
