The Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT) has joined the anti-paraquat bandwagon with its call for all parties concerned to take a clear stand on the three controversial herbicides, paraquat, glyphosate and chlorpyrifos.

In a statement issued today, the ACT praised Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for making clear his desire for a complete ban on the weed-killers, while calling on the National Hazardous Substances Committee to be transparent in its decision making process.

The ACT demands that any committee members who support the continued use of the chemicals must fully disclose their reasons for not to banning the substances. The ACT also proposed that the government subsidize farmers who would have to turn to alternative chemicals if they are forced to stop using the herbicides in question.

Something that changed my life forever was reading about how Monsanto has systematically taken over farming to promote their poisonous chemicals (derivatives of agent orange), and creating "Frankenseeds" to monopolize agribusiness around the globe. It's the very definition of "notorious." You can read about it here (it's a dry read, but Monsanto knows most people don't have the time nor the attention span to care):

You can watch plenty of documentaries about Monsanto. Just searching 'monsanto' on youtube will produce many results, the vast majority very negative and frightening.

Here's just one:

Ah, come on, at least give the committee time to hide their shares in the chemical companies first

Hope the people on the commitees know more than quando who has made it clear he is an ignorant sensationalist

Facts:

2 herbicides 1 insecticide Not three herbicide

Glyphosate is an amino acid derivitive

Agent Orange is an hormone based chemical (no connection between the two products)245T was patented by Dow. Glyphosate was develope by Monsanto. Both companies are competitors in the market.

The article refered to was not written by Monsanto so why the erroneous comment that Monsanto made the article a DRY read when they are not the authors.Monsanto are leaders in genetic research in agriculture so maybe they should stop their work and farmers can go back to the ox and plow and cause more environmental damage and a drop in crop production.

A little knowledge is dangerous especially when  it is twisted and full of misinformation

Just follow the example of the US und EU, which for years have forbidden many poisons that damage nature and all animals, including us!

Good luck with making that happen...
