Apparent new rule at Savannakhet for Non O single based on child

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've heard that there is a new rule at Savannakhet for a Non O single based on a child. That rule being you don't have to show proof of funds with your first application but do on the 2nd. Can anyone confirm this ?

I know this wasnt the case up until August because I was issued my 4th in a row without being asked, but maybe its a new rule since then.

Thanks

I have heard nothing about any changes for a non- visa for being the parent of a Thai.

Have you been getting the 60 day extension visit you child at immigration?

Yes I have. This subject came up because someone in the same position as me was asking for my advice on a FB page. Then someone else came in with a comment that they will ask you for proof of funds on your 2nd application.

It might of been confusion with a different embassy or consulate.

I have seen no reports about any changes in Savannakhet.
