Ministry bans use of Google Translate for signboards

Featured Replies

An inter-ministerial meeting led by the Ministry of Environment has decided to ban property developers from using Google Translate for their signboards and trademarks.

The meeting was held to carry out consultation and a full assessment of the environmental and social impact caused by poor translations at condominium and apartment development projects.

The inter-ministerial meeting also decided to instruct developers to discuss with specialists before making their signboards or trademarks, so there will be no mistakes in the translated Khmer language content.

I hope they will not do this in Thailand - some translations are seriously hilarious and I - for one - would not want to miss them for anything ...........

more than likely that Apple has paid more than Android; so that Apple's Babel is actually the targeted preference from now on...

George Orwell would be impressed – it must be 1984 all over again????????‍♂️????????????
