I have just been speaking to an acquaintance who was denied an extension based on marriage at Phuket immigration where the income method is refused. This person solved his problem by travelling to Pattaya and paying 25K Baht to an agent for a one-year extension - no finances required. I have seen the stamp and appears to be genuine. 

Never heard of a marriage one obtained by corrupt method, was it retirement?

impossible .....

 

all the applications are sent to BKK for approval - Hence why passports are stamped awaiting approval... and you have to come back to the immigration office 3-4 weeks later .....

 

 

Clearly not impossible and as said I have seen the stamp just a few hours ago

You have seen 'a' stamp. 

 

This is the point I was making recently, that some folks who support using agents seemed to fail to understand.. As soon as something is done outside of the usual channels, you have no idea if it is really done, or if it was pretended to be done.

You have seen 'a stamp', not necessarily a genuine one.
