Picture: Daily News Villagers in Ubon Ratchathani province in Thailand's Isaan region hotfooted it to a house in the village of Ban Nong Yao after reports that an 8 legged piglet had been born. Some were armed with incense and flowers to help divine what was on everyone's mind - getting the winning lottery numbers! Wan Saiboh, 52, said her pig had given birth to ten piglets - three of which were stillborn including the strange eight legged one. She was convinced this would be an omen of riches to come in the upcoming draw. Lottery numbers are often sought when strange or unexpected events occur in Thailand, notes Thaivisa's cultural affairs department. In recent months this has been the case in two headed calves, unusual tree trunks, snakes where they shouldn't be and even bananas on a tree that were pointing to the heavens.
