Thomas J
Farang with Thai Fiance looking for a nice restaurant for a Christmas Eve. Dinner. I have tried to do an internet search but I am unfamiliar with any of the restaurants and some of the "elegant' hotel restaurants are doing their usual gouge on price with Christmas Eve specials running as high as 8,000 THB. We are just looking for a nice decor ( not a bar) and a good menu.
Delight
Is Cosy Beach too far for you? Cosy beach is located at the top of Pratamnak Hill

Henryford
Plenty of choice , must be hundreds in Pattaya, depends where you live. My suggestion would be the little covered alley at the start of Soi Diana. There are 4 or 5 very nice restaurants eg Patricks there. You can check the menus and make a choice. RoadWarrior371
Go to Pratumnak for a change of scenery. Either eat at Sky Gallery at Cozy Hill beachfront, or try Sands Cafe at the beachfront of Pratumnak Soi 5. Enjoy.
fhickson
i was in cheap charlies and a foreigner / thai couple sat to order. the guys kept demanding "mushy peas" with a steak order. "good girl" he says. when the plate arrived he did not get mushy peas and sent the plate back. kept saying "mushy peas" loudly and complaining. very embarrasing to his date. if that was the op, just eats your peas like a "good boy", nevermind your age pushing 70, mother is there to cook your peas proper. jacko45k
So are you recommending Cheap Charlie's despite their lack of mushy peas?
moonseeker
Nice and special but probably fully booked. Au Bon Coin, Pratumnak. Google their site... Merry Christmas. MS>
