malt25
I'm researching travel insurance for over 70's. Travel for trips originating in Thailand. Round trip. Anyone able to comment on https://www.frank.co.th/en/travel-insurance?utm_source=google&utm_medium=sem&utm_content=1674714842_71858289104_1t1_g_c_9047146_339076590475&utm_term=%2Binsurance %2Btravel_b&utm_campaign=[TI-G_0101][EN]:Travel_Insurance_Bidadjustment&gclid=CjwKCAiAmNbwBRBOEiwAqcwwpTT3KwKmp7narb7Z1oRGh7JTgh3s19rcAxvxlbzb_o1LAdxAuimtrBoC-aUQAvD_BwE or their recommended insurers ? Peter Denis
A question > Do these thai-issued travel-insurance plans require that you are a Thai national or have your permanent residence in Thailand? If not required, these policies might be of interest when already covered in Thailand but making trips to neighboring countries. My residence is in Belgium, and I have a belgian annual travel-insurance policy that covers any trips up to 6 months (after which I have to be 2 weeks in Belgium again, to cover my next trip). Suits me fine as I often visit my home-country. When I stay longer than 6 months in Thailand, I cover the in-between-time with the on-line on-the-fly travel insurance policy offered by World Nomads. They are not cheap (I reckon approx 5 to 8 times more expensive than the thai TI policies), but the coverage is way beyond what these thai policies foresee, and obviously - and quite important for me - WorldNomads provides re-patriation at no cost in case of serious accidents/illnesses.
