Phrae PM2.5 Numbers 2020

Masks   -   PM2.5  -  Covid

... it is reasonable to consider China KN95, AS/NZ P2, Korea 1st Class,

and Japan DS2 FFRs as “similar” to US NIOSH N95 and European FFP2

respirators, for filtering non-oil-based particles such as those resulting from

wildfires, PM 2.5 air pollution, volcanic eruptions, or bioaerosols (e.g. viruses).

At night north of Phrae increasing PM2.5-numbers,

now  AQI 140. - No wonder considering these fires,

especially in the Yom valley and in Chiang Rai / Mae Sai.

Chiang Mai & Lampang seem to be ok.

I'm not sure dear Khun Prayut Chan-o-cha

is reading Thaivisa. - He better should.

in Phrae and in Chiang Rai and in Mae Sai?'

Thanks, VocalNeal. This is pleasant.

Good governor in Phayao?

The last years it was 'better' than today in Phrae province.

May be  I wrote this already:

One positive trend that showed up in the satellite data this year was a reduction in fire activity in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The two states have seen fire counts drop every year since 2016, likely because of increased enforcement of bans on paddy burning. In fact ...

I would suggest it's high time to get an

air purifier, a PM2.5-meter and a N95-mask

(there are several threads on ThaiVisa)

It's early this year. I can't ventilate at night because nearly every night there is burning. Hatari is on every night and morning.

This morning I went walking early with my cats and there was some bad burned plastic haze. Luckly a bit further out in the bush it was better.

Should have waited for around 10 when the sun clears most of it.

F...g Thais. Only way to stop this is shoot people onsite that burn. So fed up with this.

And now with the corona I can't even go home for a couple of months , even if the euro's are in lockdown.

airpurifiers are no match for the fine dust of kitti litter and cat fur ....

FlorC, are you sure? Could it be you would need a new filter?

We have got another Xiaomi device today. - Really good.

It's name is 3C, while we wanted a 2S. - OK, both of them.

Please don't forget: the windows and the doors should be closed while the air purifier is running.

Very important too, the room/house should be insulated carefully against PM2.5 -invaders...

I just put a new filter in. Kitti litter dust still reaches the space behind the filter and it clogs it up.  I have the Hatari .

They started burning plastic from 20h , so now I can't open the door . Why now ? Do they keep the plastic waste from the last 6 months to start burning it in  december ?

There are always gaps where the dirty air comes in . This is Thailand , building standards s_ck , as cheap as posible.

Where did you buy the Xiaomi ?

Everyone according to his preference.

But no, it's high time already.

No whinning, I would call this proactivity.

Today it was not too bad, but look back only two

days:
