Featured Replies

HI folks my mates brother has died and my mate needs an extension of stay (or tourist visa extension)

he has just phoned to say he has a letter from the Doctor who was in charge of the Bangkok hospital

I think he will want 30 days or whatever they grant in these circumstances.

any body have any knowledge of this procedure as he is calling round this morning.

                                                     thanks

No such visa or extension of stay exists.

He could apply for a 30 day extension of a 60 day entry from a tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt entry.

ok Joe yes I did not think there was but he said the Doctor gave him a letter and a form ? so  maybe an extension of stay for a 60 day tourist visa ? will know when he arrives, and hopefully the letter and form plus passport will be enough.

just an update my mate was refused another extension, as he had extended twice before (his brothers doctor had given him info that his brother's condition would ease and this was not the case) so a lady was phoned and 6k and

one picture and an extension was granted. TIT
